Heidi's October

Penelope McCowen

From the author:

All my life I have thrilled to the power of well-used words, and all my life I have written.  And ever since I became a committed Christian, I have desired to write words that would draw people to Jesus.   There is only so much time and there are only so many opportunities.  We must reach as many people as we are able in the time that we have.  I pray that my novel, with the message of the gospel woven within, falls into as many hands as God desires and that those hands will open a Bible and discover the truth.

Heidi Jordan was beautiful, popular and intelligent. She had great expectations for the future but in one wild, irrational and headstrong moment the life that she had known for twenty three years was to suddenly end. In an accident which was to rip apart the life of her best friend Annaliese Miller, Heidi eventually learns that God’s love and forgiveness is the only answer to life’s unsolvable issues and that sometimes forgiving one’s self is the hardest forgiveness of all to achieve.

Read Penelope McCowen’s novel Heidi’s October to learn how God’s word in Romans 8:28 is truth - that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. This is a very readable book that should appeal to young adult readers in the age group 18 to 25 years as well as the young at heart. DS
