Faith-Based Travels is a treasure and a daily companion for the Christian traveller. The book is comprised of a reflection on God’s guidance accompanied by appropriate Scripture, a prayer and thoughts to ponder for sixty days. There are also helpful hints and even a quiz to help determine what kind of traveller you are, along with specialised devotions. A helpful addition is the guide for making re-entry to family, friends and society easier. Nicole Jeffery’s Ten Top Hints for Travellers could easily be renamed the Ten Top Hints for Christians Everywhere.
The many true and inspirational stories of other’s real life experiences support the traveller in her own adventures and needs.
We are blessed to be a blessing and I believe that for the Christian traveller the gift of Faith-Based Travels will be valued and amongst her most treasured possessions.

Groups of five devotions cover the ordinary aspects of travel (planning, language barriers, loneliness and re-entry) as well as the spiritual aspects (prayer, comfort, praise, journaling, evangelism). The author divides travellers into six groups: adventurers, language students, culture vultures, missionaries, workers and nomads. But she exhorts everyone to take God with, and to spend time with him – even when on a busy schedule. This compact volume would be a suitable companion for any traveller or a practical compendium for stay-at-homers. NS
