From the author:
I love my job - mustering cattle in the Australian bush.
I love Jesus - my Lord and Saviour. Abundance in the Bush brings these two passions together, connecting life on the land with faith in Christ.
REVIEWS
There are many devotionals to choose from in any Christian book shop so what does Linda Watt’s Abundance in the Bush have that makes it stand out from all others?
There are two things. Firstly it is a true blue, dinki di, fair dinkum, 31 day Aussie devotional where Linda combines a love of horses and her love of the Australian bush with the Word of God - an awesome combination. Secondly, every page contains a relevant and first-class photograph that relates to the script.
Abundance in the Bush would appeal to city dwellers who hanker for country life; to country people who love where they live and to Christians everywhere who love horses. DS

The frontispiece photo of the author in an Akubra immediately indicates the theme of this compact collection of 31 devotions. Coloured photos, liberally dotted throughout, show many more rural motifs, eg kookaburras, thoroughbred horses, leather riding boots, barbed wire, towering gum trees, kelpies and windmills. The stories she tells delve even deeper into the rural Australian lifestyle. There are tales about parthenium weed, bull dust, rodeos, blow flies, feral pigs and the dingo fence. Then there are the favourite Aussie idioms, like ‘flat out like a lizard drinking’ and ‘tough as old boot leather’. But these are not just instructive insights into farm life. Each meditation has a timeless Christian message, and concludes with a Bible verse and a prayer suggestion. This book is excellent value and is available from the author at PO Box 1, Imbil QLD 4570.
