WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE TWELVE APOSTLES?
Elva Schroeder

Even Before Publishing (2nd edition)

12 apostles

Elva Schroeder has searched and researched widely for the facts of which Apostle went where after the Day of Pentecost. After all, Jesus did command in Matthew 28:19-20 ‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’ (NIV) Did they do this? What evidence do we have?

Whatever Happened to the Twelve Apostles? is an absolutely fascinating book filled with interesting facts and strong probabilities. Although it does not bear the authenticity of Scripture, the detail and facts constantly ring true. Much is taken from early church writings and the Church Fathers. Some information comes from writers such as Tacitus (55-120AD) and Josephus (37-100AD) who, although not Christian, did testify to Jesus. The personal details of the lives and families of the Apostles are especially interesting. Other information has been garnered from the historical records of long established churches in India, Armenia, Greece, Italy, Spain, France and England.

I have an increased appreciation of the contribution of all the Apostles to the spread of early Christianity, including the sacrifices made by their wives and families to the preaching of the Gospel. Every one died a martyr’s death with the exception of John. If you have ever wondered what the Twelve did next and where they went after Pentecost Whatever Happened to the Twelve Apostles? is just the book for you.
